I don't know if this is a trend that will continue, however, I felt the urge to write.
A lot has happened since last February. Don't know if I'll update it all now or not. But, to sum up, I now hold a degree in History, I am still working for a school district in the Autism Unit, the kids are growing and with that brings new challenges, and Adam and I are still going strong. (Woo!)
I still knit and crochet. I focused on beanies this season and sold quite a few. I also started making burlap wreaths and sold a couple at Christmas. I make them for all seasons, check out the shop if you're curious.
Makeup still = love.
My new love is thrift shopping. We have a Goodwill that is about a year and a half old right down the street from us and I have been finding some awesome deals on jeans/slacks. I managed to pick up some Bebe and Free People jeans for 7.99. Not too shabby! I've gotten a few more pairs for work, ranging from Old Navy to American Eagle. I feel like I win the lottery every time I find a like new pair of jeans lol.
Things I'm looking forward to this year:
My best friend comes to visit next month. It's been almost 3 years since I've seen her!
Spring Break is 4 weeks away! (Please hurry!)
This summer we are going to Baltimore to visit Adam's dad and stepmom. I'm so excited to take the kids on their first trip to DC. Oh - AND I get to see my best friend then, too!
One more thing I won't say out loud yet.
I hope you all are well.

It's Been Awhile, Eh?
I last posted in September of last year. LAST YEAR. It's 2016 already. Where did the time go?!
Let's see if we can recap quickly. November was the boys' birthdays, they had a joint party at one of the pizza party places here. It was a nice, tiring time. December was pretty sweet as well. Spending our first Christmas with Adam was really great. The kids loved their gifts. Though it's hard to get through Christmas with one child knowing Santa (SPOILER ALERT!) isn't real, another on the verge of learning and accepting this truth, and another I want to protect from said truth as long as I possibly can. New Year's was slightly uneventful. We hung out with mom and dad for a couple hours then went home before the ball dropped. I had to wake everyone up to kiss them goodnight. Next year we're going out, dammit!
I recently purchased a Fitbit ChargeHR and am making a point to be healthier all around. I walk from the bus stop to the school which is a little about 3 miles round trip. I try and take walks in between classes on the campus. That's about 2 miles from one end to the other. I'm drinking more water, making healthier food choices. It's hard, but I've got goals. I'm going to be 35 this year and I just want to look the best I've ever looked.
There was an even that happened late January that still baffles me. I just still do not understand how people can act the way they do and feel zero remorse. You find out who your friends are.
Now we're in February. Caleb has been in the hospital since the 4th. Well...technically it was since the 3rd, but they sent him home not thinking anything was wrong. Boy were they mistaken. It was pneumonia and asthma. Again. Almost 3 years to the day when he got it last time. Thankfully, this time we got to stay in our city and that I have awesome parents and an awesome boyfriend. Everyone took turns staying with him so I could go to school. He had a ton of visitors while he was here, too. Today we get to go home. Insert happy dance here.
Also, today is Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent. I have given up something I've been trying to quit for forever. Now God can hold me accountable. I'm already struggling. Pray for me. Also remind me that today I can have absolutely NO meat. I'm already slipping thinking about what I want for lunch. Ooops.
Graduation is slated for August 12th. I've got fingers and toes crossed that I can walk then. I'll still have to take another class in the fall, but I'll essentially be done. Woo. 4 years took forever. FOR.EV.ER.
I've also been knitting again. I'm branching out with new designs. It's pretty fun and relaxing regardless of what other people say. I truly enjoy it. Check out the shop.
Anywho, that's what we've been up to. Hope you're all well. I'm going to try and continue to write.

ICYMI
I'm just sitting here after lunch feeling extra sleepy and dreading going to my Daily Life of the Roman Empire class. I was so excited to be in this class. The Roman Empire is full of "fun" facts. Then I met my professor and it's worse than sitting in a class hearing "Bueller...Bueller..." over and over. He's this tiny little man who probably should've retired years ago. And this insensitive on my part because I just learned in my Aging Psychology class that we should not put older people in a category...but I can't even stay awake in that class. Send help.
The past couple of weeks have been so extremely stressful that I broke down in tears driving to the Round Rock campus. I'm sure I freaked the boyfriend out a bit. But he was comforting and eventually everything worked out and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. I just don't understand how people who tell you you have a deadline don't take said deadline as serious.
Saturday I went to Painting with a Twist for the first time and had a blast. I was sitting there thinking I was a real artist. Wine helped with that. I learned painting is NOT easy. I am that much more proud of my daughter for her talents. I want to go back with the kids so they can paint something, too. I know they'll have a blast as well.
Football started yesterday and I am losing in my league already. Not cool. And can we talk about that Giants/Cowboys game? I seriously thought the Giants had that one. Now we get to hear it for a week about how awesome "Dem Boyz" are. Ew. The only thing getting me through this day is that I get to watch the 49ers play. PLEASE let them beat the Vikings. Amen.
Anywho, that's what I've been up to lately. I'm sure you were all dying to know.
Have a great week!

Disney in a nutshell...
I was going to write a long post about how awesome it was to be at Walt Disney World, but I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. I will say that my favorite place ever was Le Chefs France in Epcot. Lunch there was just awesome. Also, if you go, get the Memory Maker that comes along with the PhotoPass option it's so totally worth it! Most of the pictures I post will be the professional pics taken by the Cast Members. Enjoy!
These are my favorites.
Here are a few from my phone that I just loved. I was surprised with a birthday button got to celebrate every single day. At breakfast at the Crystal Palace I got a birthday card from the characters and a cupcake and they sang happy birthday to me. I felt so special!
I had a blast and I can't wait until we can go back again!
Once again, we would not have been able to go if it wasn't for the generosity of my bf's parents. They're truly wonderful people.

Insert Clever Title Here...
We have 3 days until we fly out to Orlando. I'm so excited, but I'm SO stressed out at the same time. There's so much going on between school and the kids and my personal life. I feel like freaking out. I have been freaking out. Under the surface. I'm like that proverbial duck. Sane-ish looking above water, but kicking like hell underneath.
One reason I'm freaking out because I'm supposed to graduate in May. I'm taking 5 classes this semester. 4 of them pertain to my major and minor and one is French 3. And in case you didn't know, French is one hard language to learn. How I got an A in both French 1 & 2 is beyond me! Four Classes per one semester can drain anyone, I don't know how my BF was able to take 5 for more than one semester at a time. Oh and did I mention I have a final this week? Oy...
Reason #2 is that I have to pack myself and 3 kids for this huge trip and the kids are on a mini vacation as I type this. Which means the night they come home, I have to wash and re-pack EVERYTHING. I have a check list. I hope I stick to it. I hope we don't forget anything. Adam tells me that if we were to forget something, the resort would be able to provide it for us. I hope so. I know I'm stressing him out with my worrying. I try not to, he's got his own things to deal with, but I have always been a worrier.
There are other reasons I won't bore anyone with. And I know I should "let go and let God." I want to. It's just hard. But I'm taking a deep breath and trusting that everything will work out the way it's supposed to.
I really am excited for Disney World. I'm excited to see the kids' faces. I'm excited to be there with the man I love. I'm excited that we also get to share the experience with his parents. I'm excited to eat to my hearts content, and wear Minnie Ears, and take pictures with as many characters as I can. And while I'm on vacation, I will try and leave my worries at home and really enjoy my time away. This is my first real "get on a plane and go somewhere" vacation I've had in 10 years. Insane, right?
As I was typing that last paragraph, I put myself in a better mood. Maybe I just needed to vent a little.
I hope you all have a great Day.

Time goes by so slowly...
I'm so flippin' excited for our trip to Disney World. STILL. I'm like a kid. He keeps telling me how cute I am. I can't help it. It's the "happiest place on Earth!" To pass the time I started making wallpapers for mine and my daughter's phone. Now they're all cute and ready for Disney, too. ;)
I know that the night before we fly I'll be up all night like a kid on Christmas. I'm sure that my kids will be the same way. Maybe we'll sleep on the plane. Highly unlikely, but maybe.
I've googled and searched Pinterest for all kinds of tips and tricks and what to expect while we're there. Even though the bf and his parents are Disney Pros, I like to know what I'm in for. Especially since we're doing all the parks. And since it's been so long since I was there. 8 years to be exact. My daughter surprised me when she started talking about all things she remembered doing. She was only 5 when we went last. This gives me hope that my youngest will be able to hold onto his memories for awhile. He is older than she was last time. What's funny is that my middle is acting all aloof right now. But I'm sure he's gonna forget to be "cool" the minute we step off that plane. Especially when we do the Star Tours ride. He can't help but geek out when it comes to Star Wars.
I'll end this by posting some of the wallpapers I made. If you like feel free to ask, I can def customize to your liking. :)
Have a great day!

Guys!
We are going to Disney World!
I have never been more excited in my life. I cried when I found out, I cried when I told my mom (because she cried, too), and I have been walking around the house with a perma-smile strapped to my face. To say the kids will have had an awesome summer is an understatement. The last time we went to Disney, Izzie was 5 and Caleb was 2. I'm so glad that Jack gets to experience it now. And everyone is old enough to remember. The best part is that we're going with the BF's parents.
We are going for a full week and we get to experience all of the parks. This is a first for me. I've been twice before, but I'm going with real Disney fanatics lol. And to go with people who don't stop for smoke breaks every 5 minutes will be a HUGE plus...but I digress. My BF is planning everything and dinner reservations have already been made. I'm so excited to try all the different cuisines.
The look on my boys' faces when we told them was priceless. Then I had to FaceTime Izzie because she's not here. She was in shock, too. I could go on and on, but I'll just stop here. August can't come fast enough!
